Overview

‘Explore Gujarat & Rajasthan Tour’ is well designed itinerary which give you an opportunity to explore the two most diverse and colorful states of India: Gujarat & Rajasthan. Rajasthan is known as The Land of Great Kingdoms, surrounded by the Aravali which is known as one of the oldest mountain range. The state contains one of the widest and forbidding desert which is Thar Desert, also known as The Great Indian Desert, it also shares the border of Pakistan and river Sutlej and Indus.

The "Jewel of the West”, Gujrat is one of the most exuberant costal state of India, located on the country's western coast, which is Rich in every sense, such as Gujarat has much to offer such as crafts, history and natural beauty. During this tour you will also get the chance to explore the Elephanta caves which is one of the most popular rock-cut cave temple which comes under a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is a large group of five Hindu caves and two Buddhist caves are located only few kilometers away from the city center of Mumbai, Also visit the major attcations in Mumbai such as the Prince of Wales Museum, Hanging Gardens, Juhu Beach and Marine Drive. Apart from this tour will also give you the chance to view the most beautiful Mughal architecture of India Taj Mahal, which is known as a symbol of love and affection. You will also get the chance to explore Delhi as well, which is the capital of India. The duration of the tour is 16 nights and 17 days, covering the places such as Mumbai,Bhavnagar, Palitana , Ahmedabad, Mount Abu, Udaipur, Rohetgarh, Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Jaipur, Agra and Delhi. During the tour you will feel the real essence of Indian History and culture.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Mumbai

On arrival at Mumbai, meet our representatives, after welcome, you will transferred to your pre booked hotel. Check-in at the hotel. Rest day is free at leisure. Later in the evening take a leisurely walk to explore the market and places around. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2: Mumbai Sightseeing

After breakfast, proceed towards Elephanta caves, which is one of the most popular rock-cut cave temple which comes under a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is a large group of five Hindu caves and two Buddhist caves located on an island that is a few miles away from the Gateway of India. Out of seven caves, the Mahesh Murti cave is of great importance. In this cave Lord Shiva is shown as a creator, protector and destroyer, is a sight to be seen.

Later in the day move out on an excursion to the sightseeing of Mumbai. The major hotspots to visit include Prince of Wales Museum, Hanging Gardens, Juhu Beach and Marine Drive. Overnight stay in Mumbai.

Day 3: Mumbai – Bhavnagar (By flight)Sightseeing

Today after breakfast, transfer to Mumbai domestic airport to catch a flight to Bhavnagar. The 18th century capital of princely state of Bhavnagar, is now a busy Industrial area.

After arrival at Bhavnagar, our representative would arrange a smooth transfer to your pre booked hotel. Relax for a while in your room. In the afternoon proceed for sightseeing of Bhavnagar. Visit the major tourist attractions include the Takhteshwar Temple and the Gandhi Smriti Memorial. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4: Bhavnagar – Palitana (About 55 kilometers)Sightseeing

Post breakfast drive towards Palitana , which is located at the distance of 55 kilometers away from Bhavnagar , popular for its Jain marble temples, it is one of the most holiest place for Jains. There are more than thousand temples are located at the Shatrunjaya hill featuring exquisite sculpture and carving.

Upon reaching Palitana, check-in at the hotel. In the afternoon proceed to climb the 600-meter Shatrunjaya hill on foot to enjoy the temple excursion. Return to the hotel in the evening for overnight stay.

Day 5: Palitana – Ahmedabad (About 215 kilometers)Sightseeing

After breakfast, proceed for Ahmedabad by road. Ahmedabad is the largest city of Gujrat. Which is named after Ahmed Shah I, the second Sultan of Gujrat Sultanate. The city was known as the 'Manchester of the East’ during the British period, the city retains its legacy of tread and manufacture and it house the amazing architectural heritage.  

On reaching Ahmedabad, check-in at your hotel. Post lunch, proceed for sightseeing tour of Ahmedabad, and visit the Calico Museum of Textile. This is one of India's finest specialized museums. Then visit the other major tourist attractions such as the Gandhi Ashram, Sidi Sayed Mosque, Bhadra Fort and the Kankaria Lake. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6: Ahmedabad – Modhera (About 98 Kilometers) – Patan (About 34 Kilometers) – Mount Abu (Sightseeing)

Today morning after breakfast, drive towards Mount Abu via Modhera and Patan. On the route visit the Sun temple at Modhera. The temple is located on the high mound on the left bank of river Pushpawati. Visit major tourist attractions of Patan such as Agam Kaun, Hanuman Mandir and Patan Museum.

Resume your drive to Mount Abu. This beautiful town is the homestead to lakes, rivers, forests and waterfalls, it is also known as "An Oasis in the Desert". There is the Hindu mythology associated with Abu’s Lakes. And ancient caves, temples tucked away in the hill. There are great treasure of Rajput and colonial architecture to explore. On arrival at Mount Abu, check-in at the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 7: Mount Abu – Udaipur (About 164 Kilometers)Sightseeing

In the morning after breakfast, set out on a sightseeing tour of Mount Abu. The major tourist attractions such as Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary, Dilwara temples, Doodh Baori and Sun Set Point. In the evening visit Nakki Lake to witness the stunning sunset.

In the evening drive straight to Udaipur- which is also known as “City of Lakes”. The city has clean lakes dotted with isles, which are decorated with ancient forts and palaces.
On arriving in Udaipur, check-in at the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 8: Udaipur Sightseeing

This morning, after you munch your breakfast, leave for a sightseeing tour to Udaipur.
Udaipur, known as the City of Lakes is a city rich in cultural heritage. The city showcases the imperial Rajput era and takes one back to the glorious past. This beautiful city is also referred to as “Venice of the East”. The place has a number of historical monuments, palaces and forts which are there in the remembrance to Maharana Udai Singh II who founded the city.

Begin with a visit to the City Palace, Jagdish Temple, Jag Mandir and Saheliyon-Ki-Bari. After visiting all these attractions, enjoy your day on the banks of the Lake Pichola which is known as the crown of the city. Later, return back to the hotel and stay overnight.

Day 9: Udaipur – Rohetgarh (About 284 Kilometers)Sightseeing

Today after breakfast drive to Rohetgarh. Stop midway to visit the Ranakpur Jain temple. This temple consists of 200 pillars that are intricately designed and are not alike. These pillars are used to provide support to the 29 halls of the temple.
After the visit to the temple resume your drive towards Rohetgarh. Rohet is a small establishment of Bishnoi community. The Jagir of Rohet come into being in the 17th century.
On arriving Rohet, check-in to the hotel. Relax for a while at your room. After lunch enjoy the jeep safari at Rohet Villages. A comfortable night stay at the hotel.

Day 10: Rohetgarh – Jaisalmer (About 275 Kilometers)Sightseeing

Today after early breakfast, begin your journey towards Jaisalmer, ‘The Golden city’, Jaisalmer is situated 575 kilometers west from Jaipur. Jaisalmer comes under word heritage site. It is one of the most romantic places in India and also exotic destination for Indian as well as foreign tourists. For centuries this little settlement near India. The yellow sandstone and yellow sands used in every architecture of the city which gives it a yellowish-golden tinge to the city and its surrounding area.
On reaching Jaisalmer, check-in at your pre booked hotel. The rest day is free at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 11: Jaisalmer Sightseeing

After breakfast, embark on a sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer which include Jaisalmer Fort- a dominant structure between the sand, Patwaon ki Haveli and Nathmalji ki Haveli. These Jain temples are beautifully sculptured and were constructed between the 12th and 13th century and five interconnected palaces of your own.

Post lunch proceed to visit some other attractions such as the Jain Temples, Bada Bagh, Government Museum, Floklore Museum and the Amar Sagar Lake.
In the evening enjoy camel ride and watch the beautiful sunset. Return to the hotel at late evening, Stay overnight in the hotel

Day 12: Jaisalmer – Bikaner (About 230 kilometers) Sightseeing

After breakfast, drive towards Bikaner. Bikaner is a most vibrant desert town with tremendous forts, utterly sculptured temples of red and yellow sand stones display some of the finest creations of Rajput civilization. It is the most beautiful yet very quiet destination of Rajasthan.

Once you arrive in Bikaner, check into your hotel. After freshen up, proceed for sightseeing that will include Junagadh fort, which is popular for its gigantic structure and compositional plans, Junagarh fort is spread over a sprawling area that is bounded by 986 meters long wall and the Jain temples, it was built in 15th century and devoted to the 5th Tirthankara of the Jains, Shri Sumatinath Ji. It is made by the sandstone and white marble. It is another popular tourist attraction along with one of the holy place for Jains. After visit Junagarh fort and Jain temples, visit some other popular attractions such as Raj Ratan Bihari Temple, Rasik Shiromani Temple and the Karni Mata Temple. In the evening you may take a visit to Gajner Palace and the Camel breeding center. Enjoy comfortable night stay at the hotel

Day 13: Bikaner – Jaipur (About 336 Kilometers)

Post breakfast, leave for Jaipur by road. It is one of the most popular tourist destination of India. Behind its pink crenelated walls, you will find the original old city that’s dates back to the 18th century.

Upon arrival in Jaipur, check-in to hotel. Rest day is free at leisure, or you can explore the nearby places at your own. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 14: Jaipur Sightseeing

Today after breakfast, proceed to visit main attractions of Jaipur including Hawa Mahal, The palace was designed for the royal women, so that they could see the festivals of the city without coming out of the palace. It was built of red and pink sandstone. You can get the best Rajasthani handcraft, clothing, souvenirs, jewelry etc nearby Hawa Mahal, do some sopping here.

City palace complex is located within the heart of Jaipur, which includes the Chandra Mahal and Mubarak Mahal palaces and other buildings. It was built by Sawai Jai Singh II between 1729 and 1732 AD.  You may also visit Jantar Mantar Observatory this monument was built by Sawai Jai Singh, which is listed UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit Jal Mahal, located at Man Sagar Lake, this fort was built in the 18th century and feels equally haunting and enchanting. Other spots to be visited are Amer Fort, About 11 kilometer north of the Jaipur city center Amber Fort Palace is located. It is the main attraction of Jaipur. Amber was the capital of the Kachhwaha Rajputs for 700 years.
After Jaipur sightseeing, return back to the hotel in the evening. Stay overnight at Hotel in Jaipur.

Day 15: Jaipur – Agra (About 260 Kilometers)Sightseeing

After breakfast begin your road journey towards Agra, En route visit the Fatehpur Sikri, it was built during the second half of 16th century by Mughal emperor in an homage to famous Sufi Saint Salim Chisti. Fatehpur Sikri is situated at 37 kms from Agra. Visit Jama Masjid, Buland Darwaza, and world’s largest gateway, the historical Palace of Jodha Bai, Birbal Bhavan and Panch Mahal.

From here we continue driving to Agra. After reaching, get transferred to the hotel.  Check in to the hotel. The rest of the day is free. Overnight stay in the Hotel.

Day 16: Agra Sightseeing

After early breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour of Agra, First visit The Taj Mahal, It is described as the most extortionate monument ever built for love. It was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan which was dedicated to his beautiful wife Arjumand Bano Begum popularly known as Mumtaz Mahal. It is the final resting place of the queen, splendidly created for her remembrance. The beauty of Taj Mahal not only brings joys in viewer’s eyes but also is a feast to senses.

Later, visit Agra Fort the Agra fort was built by Akbar between 1565 -1573. This fort is built alongside the banks of River Yamuna and stretches for a length of almost 2.5 km. The fort is made using splendid pieces of red sandstone and white marble and the inner area inlaid with various semi-precious stones. After visiting the Agra fort, proceed for Itmad-ud-Daula's Tomb,Nur Jahan the wife of Jahangir built a tomb for her father Mirza Ghiyas-ud-din, who died in 1622. The tomb was called as Imad-Ud-Daula. The tomb is built entirely of white marble. As its unique architectural style and structure, the tomb also called “Baby Taj”.

Day 17: Agra – Delhi (About 231 Kilometers)
